The Germany international Leroy San has not started any match for the premier league champions this season, and the player is eager to prove a point to Pep Guardiola when they take on Fulham this weekend. Leroy Sane has sent Pep Guardiola a message ahead of Manchester City's clash with Fulham on Saturday. The Germany winger is hoping to start the clash at the Etihad having yet to be named in one of Guardiola's starting XIs this season.
He was a substitute for each of City's opening three games before missing out on a place in the matchday squad entirely for the visit of Newcastle before the international break. Sane took to Twitter to let his fans know he is back training in Manchester after the international break, writing 'getting ready for the weekend' alongside a picture of him training with Brazilian teammate Danilo. And Guardiola will hope Sane is ready having axed him against the Magpies in what is understood to have been intended as a wake-up call to the winger, despite the manager's insistence that any of his forwards could've missed out on selection for the game. Sane was one of City's standout players in their record-breaking 2017-18 season and his lack of action so far this term has come as a surprise for many.
The 22-year-old was dealt a blow at the start of the summer when he was omitted from Germany's World Cup squad but he was selected by Jogi Loew for Die Mannschaft's recent international games against France and Peru. Sane, however, left the camp after the game against France and it was later confirmed that his partner had given birth - putting to bed the initial speculation that he had walked out after a row with Loew.
