REAL MADRID star Gareth Bale has offers from Manchester United and Tottenham to return to England at the end of the season, according to reports Manchester United and Tottenham have long been linked with a move for Real Madrid’s Bale, who has endured a wretched season at the Bernabeu. Injuries have hampered his contribution this season with the Wales international struggling to nail down a spot in Zinedine Zidane’s XI. As a result talk of a Premier League return has been rife. And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Manchester United and Tottenham are determined to lure the winger away, with Bale supposedly determined to return to England. It is said Real are preparing for his departure. Los Blancos chief Florentino Perez reportedly thinks Bale is past his best.

And, despite Perez backing the former Spurs man during his time in Spain, his patience has ran out. United and Tottenham, Don Balon say, have both made £50million offers to sign the star. Yet Madrid are said to want the £80m they paid for him back in 2013. United have long wanted the Wales forward, while Tottenham could secure him in return for Harry Kane. Meanwhile, speaking in October, former United boss David Moyes admitted Bale was his No1 target during his short stint at Old Trafford. And Cesc Fabregas was another on his radar. "I tried to convince them but we couldn't do so,” he said. “We offered more money to Tottenham [than Real Madrid for Bale] at that time," Moyes said. "Cesc Fabregas, who I spoke to on the phone several times, was not sure of his place in the Barcelona team and I remember him saying if he didn't start the first game at Barcelona he would definitely be looking to join us. "And he started the first game at Barcelona. So, small things – you're waiting on things happening. "But I don’t want it to sound like hard luck stories because there were other players I wanted join as well but they were the two who I think looked like Manchester United players."
