President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Dr Samson Ayokunle, has called on churches across the nation to set aside today as a day to pray for the country. He said the country needed divine intervention, especially following incessant attacks by herdsmen in recent times. In a message made available to TribuneChurch by his Special Assistant, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, he also noted that insecurity was a threat to Nigeria’s development. “We urge all churches to set aside time today to pray for Nigeria and for victory over the wicked killings of herdsmen. Our nation can never be great in a state of insecurity and war as we are presently experiencing it. “This government owes the entire Nigerians the responsibility of competent action, not just action by words of mouth. May God save Nigeria from this unfortunate situation,” he stated.
