POLICE have locked down East India Dock Road, near Canary Wharf, amid a "significant police incident", it has been revealed.
The major east London Road, near the financial hub of Canary Wharf, has been partially closed following the event. Transport for London said on Twitter that East India Dock Road was partially blocked both ways due to "a significant police incident". Both London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance service have confirmed they are not attending the scene. London Underground is believed to have been unaffected by the incident, with the DLR still operating with a good service. The Metropolitan Police has not offered an immediate comment on the nature of the incident. More to follow...
