That’s the opinion of former Reds midfielder Danny Murphy. The Egyptian winger has been in stunning form since his summer switch from Roma, scoring 17 goals for Jurgen Klopp’s side. He grabbed two of those as a substitute during last night’s 3-0 win at struggling Stoke and Murphy was surprised the former Chelsea man didn’t start the game. “Unbelievable,” he said.
“He’s obviously playing better than anybody else in the Premier League at the moment in some respects. “I was thinking before this is a risk not having him on the pitch but the quality they’ve got in attacking areas. “What a pass it was from Mane (for Salah’s first goal) and what a volley. That’s a confident man, a really confident player. “To hit that so sweetly and then he makes the one-on-one look easy a few minutes later. “If you can leave (Philippe) Coutinho on the bench with Salah away at Stoke on a cold Wednesday night you’ve got some good options haven’t you.”
