Inter are determined to keep hold of their star man and Italian publication CalcioMercato claim Sabatini would entertain the idea of selling him if United offer a player-plus-cash deal. “[Luciano] Spalletti doesn’t want him to leave but Inter only keep players who are happy to stay,” he said in a press conference. “Manchester United’s interest is very strong but they know what we think about the future or Perisic. “We decide Perisic’s price-tag and we’ll only sell him for a fair exchange [Sabatini hints that Inter may also accept a player-plus cash swap deal]. “Perisic is an amazing player and I hope he will always have the right behaviour here.
"Manchester United have many strong players but we decide the player's price-tag.” 20:21: Jose Mourinho has reportedly made Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic his No 1 target. The Red Devils have already spent in excess of £100million on centre-half Victor Lindelof from Benfica and striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton. But Mourinho is not done there, with Inter Milan winger Perisic also of interest to the United manager. And according to the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho has put the Croatia international at the top of his summer wishlist. 12:00: Manchester United star Anthony Martial can thrive without Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club, according to Mikael Silvestre. Martial mustered just eight goals in 42 appearances under Jose Mourinho, who left him out of the United squad entirely at times having grown frustrated with the France international. But Silvestre believes his countryman will succeed if his mentality begins to match his ability. "Zlatan's aura was big. So was his character, his ego, and what he was spreading around him was sometimes intimidating for the younger players," he told the Daily Star. "It also gives you an example to follow, so it was good to have him around. But for the younger players and Anthony, you'd expect them to score more goals. "Anthony has reached the level of Manchester United and the French national team, so I think he will answer the critics and improve his game to perform at least as the same level as his first season.
