Chelsea emerged 3-2 winners against Arsenal in a thriller at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday evening, and many fans have taken to Twitter to rave about the display of midfielder Ross Barkley. Pedro put Chelsea ahead early and Alvaro Morata extended their lead with a fine finish, but goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and and Alex Iwobi late in the first half saw Arsenal draw level before a late winner from Marcos Alonso.

Barkley started his third game in succession this season under new boss Maurizio Sarri and impressed fans on Twitter with an accomplished display in midfield for the Blues.
OPINION
These Chelsea fans seem impressed by Barkley’s display against Arsenal, and it is clear to see why. The 24-year-old former Everton star put in a well-rounded performance in the middle of the park for Chelsea, and nearly scored in the second half with a powerful low shot which was well saved by Petr Cech. Barkley was hauled off on the hour mark as the Blues searched for a winner, but can be proud of his display and his solid start to the season under Sarri. Barkley has not had it easy since his move from the Toffees in January, with an injury limiting his early involvement before he struggled to make any impact at all under former boss Antonio Conte.
It looks like Sarri rates him highly however, and he is set for a big season at Stamford Bridge after these opening three games. Hopefully he can keep up this form and force his way back into the England set-up.
