Liverpool have already agreed deals to sign two midfielders in the form of Naby Keita and Fabinho for next season. If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds have a clear path to sign another versatile midfielder. Yesterday, Record covered an article with a headline “Talisca has an open road to Liverpool”.
The Portuguese source have mentioned that the Brazilian star is certain to leave Benfica this summer and Liverpool have been singled out as his likely destination after Besiktas opted against spending €21million to make his move permanent. Read: Klopp has decided to bid strong for €60m goalie, who wants Liverpool move Liverpool have an overcrowded central midfield with players like Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Milner around (not to forget Fabinho and Keita). However, they do lack depth in the attacking midfield and the good thing is that Talisca mainly played in the AM role for Besiktas and excelled big time. The 24-year-old South American was loaned to the Turkish side for two years and in the last two campaigns, he scored 36 goals in 79 appearances. Talisca failed to earn a place in the Brazilain squad for the World Cup but as per the provided Record link, the Reds believe that two impressive seasons in Turkey are enough to ensure that he is a good fit for the team. The Samba midfielder’s current deal with Benfica will expire in 2021 and as far as the price tag is concerned, the Primeira Liga giants rate him at around €40million (Foto Spor and O JOGO)
