Several reports have had it that Chelsea may be preparing their dugout for yet another manager with Antonio Conte’s future constantly been thrown out of Stamford Bridge. The Italian manager has been talked about in several circles including fans who are divided on whether he stays or moves out for a technical direction at the club. After Chelsea exited the Carabao Cup, many though the season could still be saved by advanced Champions League finish and a top four place, but the Blues exited the European competition in the round of 16 and are under threat of not making the top four after several defeats.
The likes of Maurizio Sarri and Massimiliano Allegri have been pointed out as the favorites to replace him next summer with Paris Saint Germain according to the Guardian, also revealed as the likely destination for Conte when he leaves. But the Italian is strong willed and seemed confident of another year stay at the Bridge, after confirming he has another year in his contract but maintained he is ready for anything regarding his future.. “For sure the reality in this moment is I have a contract with Chelsea and I am committed with Chelsea for another year. For sure, [they were] three fantastic experiences and different experiences because to be a coach of a team in Italy and coach of the national team and to be a coach of an English team, you have in your back a fantastic experience and it is great for a coach to have the possible to have these experiences. My feeling is good to be Chelsea coach and also coach of the national team for two years and to be coach of Juventus for three years. Now my present is with Chelsea. My focus is only to Chelsea. The future you never know what will happen because our job is very difficult. You have to be ready for everything.”
