Chelsea star Eden Hazard has once again been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

February wasn't exactly the best of months for the Blues on a whole in regards to the top flight of English football. They suffered defeats against Watford as well as Manchester United away from home which has seen them drop out of the top four. However, whilst the squad struggled for consistency, their Belgian international was one of few bright sparks for Antonio Conte's side and that has resulted in the 27-year-old being nominated for the Player of the Month award. It was Hazard's goal which actually drew the Blues level at Vicarage Road at the beginning of the month before they crumbled to a 4-1 loss, he then netted a brace in the 3-0 win over West Brom at Stamford Bridge a week later and then provided the assist for Willian against the Red Devils last weekend.

As revealed via EA Sports' official website, this is the second successive month in which Hazard is up for such and award and he's in competition with Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, Brighton duo Pascal Gross and Glenn Murray, Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele, Liverpool's in-form Mohamed Salah and Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri. The winner will be announced on Friday 9 March and the award is to be decided by a combination of votes vioa the views of an expert panel, and the captain of each Premier League club who is also asked to cast a vote. Hazard and company will be hoping for a better time in March - although they will only have two league games due to their FA Cup commitments. The first of which takes place on Sunday when they travel to the Etihad Stadium to face the current leaders and then welcome London rivals Crystal Palace to the Bridge on March 10 as they seek to avenge the loss from the reverse meeting earlier in the season.
