The France international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months. Liverpool and Arsenal were in for the winger in the summer, with Manchester United also being credited with interest in the 22-year-old. Both the Gunners and the Reds tabled bids for Lemar but the forward snubbed interest from the Prem big boys and opted to stay in Ligue 1. And according to Yahoo Sport journalist Duncan Castles, Liverpool have an agreement in place with Lemar to move to Anfield. However, the Reds are currently refusing to meet Monaco’s asking price of at least £88m (€100m). Should Liverpool decide to break their transfer record and shell out for Lemar, the France star could potentially join before next Wednesday’s deadline if everything goes through in time. Jurgen Klopp is keen to replace Philippe Coutinho, who left Anfield for Barcelona earlier this month in a £142m deal. The Reds have already spent £75m on Virgil van Dijk but Liverpool are ready to spend again. Klopp’s men are back in action Saturday night when the Reds host West Brom in the FA Cup fourth round at Anfield (7:45pm kick-off).
