The 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer but insists he hasn’t signed a deal with Juventus. German international Can was outstanding in Sunday’s thrilling 4-3 win over Manchester City at Anfield. Can’s display showed how important he is to Jurgen Klopp and what a huge loss he would be if he left at the end of this season. The midfield ace has refused to pen a new deal at Anfield unless a release clause is inserted. As a result of the stand-off Can was widely expected to strike a deal with Italian giants Juve in this month’s transfer window as he is free to talk to foreign clubs. But he admits his future is far from certain and hinted he could still do a u-turn and stay put.
"I know you have to ask,” he said. “My agent is looking after everything, but I am here until the summer. “I haven’t signed anything (with Juventus) or anyone. I am talking with everyone. Of course I am talking with Liverpool. Why not? “I still have a contract here. It is an amazing club. What can I say? My agent does the rest. “I just concentrate on the scene, on my performance and the football. I will give everything for this team.” Can reckons beating Pep Guardiola’s Premier League leaders on Sunday will make the football sit up and take notice. Liverpool ended City’s 22-match unbeaten run in the league this season with a pulsating win to move up to third. “It was brilliant how we pressed, I think it was the best game in terms of how I saw it. “We played against Manchester City - you don’t have to forget that. We were always on the front foot, everyone pressing and everyone did a brilliant job. “If the teams saw us playing like that, they we will give us a lot of respect and we will take a lot of confidence. “If teams watch our performance here they will think ‘oh wow’. “They will see we are a strong side. But this is just one game. It is just three points and we have to keep going.”
