Man Utd news LIVE updates: Dybala transfer claim, Mourinho doubts two aces, Rashford ran
Collymore makes demand
10:20: Manchester United MUST put up more of a fight against Manchester City in the future. That's the demand of former Liverpool star Stan Collymore, who's bemoaned this season's title race. "In the immediate future, I hope that Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal can, at the very least, string the season out for three of four more months at least," he wrote for the Mirror. "Because the last thing we need is Manchester City’s coronation in January or February. "That’s the way its heading at the moment and with City’s money it’s hard to see when and where their dominance will end."
Liverpool advice wanted
09:40: Manchester United want to speak to Liverpool about how best to protect their fans in Spain in February. That's according to the Daily Mail, who say the Red Devils are keen to avoid a repeat of the incidents Reds fans had with Seville police. United travel to Spain in the new year to take on Sevilla in the first knockout round of the Champions League. And they want Liverpool's advice to ensure their fans do not suffer at the hands of Spanish officers.
Fellaini offer
08:55: Marouane Fellaini has been offered a take-it-or-leave-it £150,000-a-week deal to stick with Manchester United beyond the summer. The Belgian has so far refused to put pen to paper on fresh terms with his contract expiring at the end of June 2018. Roma and Besiktas have shown a keen interest in getting him on-board if he quits United on a free. Jose Mourinho wants Fellaini to stay at Old Trafford though and United have now tabled a deal which would see his pay rise by £30,000 a week.
Rashford slammed
08:10: Paul Ince has taken aim at Marcus Rashford in the wake of Manchester United's Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Bristol City.
"I kept seeing Marcus Rashford attempt little flicks in the middle of the park, and it seems to me as though he has gotten ahead of himself," said the former Red Devils star. "He’s a fantastically talented player – but right then, against Bristol who really wanted the win, wasn’t the time. "He should’ve been focused on doing absolutely anything he could to help the team, rather than showboating." Mourinho unconvinced 07:25: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho still reportedly has doubts about two Old Trafford stars. Henrikh Mkhitaryan has struggled to replicate his best form since moving to the Premier League. And the Daily Star say Mourinho is yet to be fully convinced by the Armenia international. Juan Mata, likewise, has not fully won his old Chelsea boss over since they were brought together again at United.
Dybala transfer boost
06:40: Manchester United may have an advantage over Barcelona and Bayern Munich as they eye up Paulo Dybala. That's the claim of the Daily Star, who say Jose Mourinho wants the Argentine attacker at Old Trafford. United lured Javier Ribalta to Manchester from Juventus this year to head-up their talent search. And the scout has a close relationship with Dybala - which could pave the way to a transfer deal next summer
