Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata and his newly-pregnant wife Alice Campello enjoyed a spot of shopping in London with one thing in particular on the list. Morata and his long-term partner, who married in June of this year, both announced they were having their first child together in touching messages on social media earlier this week. The loved-up pair are obviously made up by the news and couldn't resist celebrating by taking a romantic trip into England's capital on a wintery day to purchase an adorable outfit for their child.

The Spaniard revealed the news by sharing a heart-warming snap of him kissing Campello's stomach with the accompanying caption: 'The first time I saw you I knew you were going to be the mother of my children and I am sure that you will be the most beautiful and sweet and good mom. I can not love you any more!'

Campello soon followed suit with a tribute on her own Instagram page. The news of his first child will be a fitting end to what has been a fantastic 2017 for the 25-year-old striker. Morata has shone since making the switch to Chelsea in a club-record £70.6million move from Real Madrid, scoring 10 goals in 22 games in all competitions.

Despite his positive start to life in England, Morata is keen to improve himself and recently admitted he has been watching Didier Drogba films for inspiration to up his performances. 'I put it on at home so I improve with Didier,' he told Chelsea's club magazine. And he has also revealed why he is so deadly in the air - six of his goals this campaign have come from headers. 'When I was seven or eight, I got a trampoline. My dad used to say to me all the time, "come on with the head" and then pass the ball to me as I jumped.

'I really think it's helped my heading game because I practiced this all the time with my dad. 'I found it funny when I was little to jump high and head or kick the ball, but it helped me for the future as well because the aerial game is one of my good points.' Morata has been nursing a minor back problem but could return to action this weekend in their Premier League clash against Southampton where he will be hopeful watching the Drogba films will pay off on the pitch.
