Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has held talks with David Luiz over the defender's future, according to the Express. The Brazilian has fallen out of favour with his manager after questioning the Italians' decision-making in th Blues' Champions League clashes with Roma earlier this year. In Luiz's absence, Andreas Christensen has made the step up to the first team and earned praise from fans and pundits alike for his mature displays in the centre of Chelsea's defence. Conte has reportedly informed Luiz that he wants the defender to return to the team as they look to make up the 14-point gap on league leaders Manchester City. But the 30-year-old has warned that he will seek a move away from Stamford Bridge if he cannot get regular game time in west London - with European heavyweights Real Madrid and Bayern Munich said to be interested in his services, as well as Chelsea's Premier League rivals Manchester United. Luiz only rejoined the Blues from Paris Saint-Germain last season, after securing a £34m deadline day move to anchor the Chelsea defence in August 2016.
But his second spell at the club could be even shorter than his first, as he may look to push through an escape once the transfer window opens in the new year. "I think now is not the right moment to speak about this," Conte said when asked by reporters last week if Luiz was happy with his current role at the club. "There are a lot of games before the transfer window and now is not the right time this is not important."
