Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will accept an FA charge for misconduct following his sending off against Swansea. The Blues boss was given his marching orders in the 43rd minute of the Premier League clash following an argument with the fourth official and referee Neil Swarbrick. After ranting and raving on the touchline with the scores level at 0-0, Swarbrick sent the Italian off — his first dismissal in English football.

Accepting the charge, he said: "I think it is right to accept it and pay the fine" Conte is set to be be fined £8,000 for his first offence and avoid a touchline ban. Asked if he will change his future behaviour, the Italian added: “I will try to avoid suggesting this to the fourth official. I hope in the future I will tell my players to go to speak to the referee.” Conte apologised for his actions after the game, which Chelsea went on to win 1-0 thanks to an effort from Antonio Rudiger, and revealed what he said to the referee. "The problem is I was frustrated because the opponents were wasting time," explained the Chelsea boss.

"But I have apologised because I did the wrong thing. "I have been in to see them after the game. It's right to speak and apologise with them. "I don't know if it was fair [to be sent off] but we have to respect this decision. "Sometimes there is a lot of frustration like in this case but sometime you can make a mistake and I did this."
