Michael Owen is tipping Eden Hazard to get on the score sheet in Chelsea’s victory over Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
The defending Premier League champions won four successive games in the Premier League before last weekend’s trip to top-four rivals Liverpool. Chelsea had to come from behind to rescue a point in a 1-1 draw with Jurgen Klopp’s men following Willian’s fortuitous equaliser that cancelled out Mohamed Salah’s opener. The Blues are 11 points behind current Premier League leaders Manchester City after 13 games to leave the title holders with a lot of ground to make up in the title race. Antonio Conte’s Chelsea side have benefited from Hazard’s sparkling return to form following a return of four goals in his last five games in all competitions.
Chelsea are looking to win their third Premier League title following two title successes in two of the last three campaigns. Former Liverpool striker Owen is tipping Hazard to fire Chelsea to victory over Welsh outfit Swansea City. “Chelsea played well at Anfield in a quality game on Saturday and deserved their point irrespective of whether Willian’s cross-cum-shot, which earned the Blues a point, was fortunate or not,” Owen told BetVictor. “Swansea recorded just one shot on target at home to Bournemouth at the weekend and they will do well to get something at Stamford Bridge with the champions and especially Eden Hazard in such good form, of late.” Chelsea signed six players in the summer transfer window bolster their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League. The Blues lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May.
