Jose Mourinho is proud of his players for scoring lots of goals against Watford. There was praise for Ashley Young for his contributions, where he scored one of the best free kicks of the season. More enjoyable than that, Jesse Lingard scored the kind of goal that he scores every few months before disappearing into anonymity on the right wing, occasionally passing sideways to a midfielder or backwards towards Antonio Valencia. I liked the goals, I thought they were all nice.
Arsene Wenger does not expect Mesut Ozil to leave Arsenal in the winter transfer window unless something, ‘unbelievable,’ happens. Presumably something unbelievable includes Ozil throwing a strop, demanding a transfer, and United or Barcelona turning up wth £20m a week before the end of the transfer window, getting rejected, before signing him for £23m an hour before the end of the transfer window. People are worried over Romelu Lukaku’s form after he ballsed up a couple of chances, and they’re wondering if his confidence is shot. Given he didn’t hide from the ball, and was in the build up to the goals, there’s little reason to worry too much. He may be a bit fatigued, but that’s nothing that can’t be solved now that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back.
Antoine Griezmann has said there is no chance that he would sign for Arsenal. That’s just common sense. They’re a finished club, a busted flush. Remember: this now means that they will definitely win at the weekend. And lastly, Manchester United face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona for the signature of Griezmann.
