Frank Lampard admits that Chelsea still have lots of work to do to get themselves back into the title race after their 1-1 draw with Liverpool FC on Saturday.

The Blues fought back from a goal down to earn a point against the Merseyside outfit when Willian’s shot beat Simon Mignolet to cancel out Mohamed Salah’s opener. The draw left Antonio Conte’s men in third place in the Premier League table as they try and catch Manchester City in the race for the title. Chelsea won the title in style in Conte’s first campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea did not have the distraction of European football last season.
Speaking to BT Sport on Saturday, Lampard said: “They’re with the other little group [in the table]. “I think Man City have gone out on their own and the bookies will probably start paying out soon if they carry on that way. Chelsea [need to] stay in the game as long as they can. “Coming to Liverpool and getting a draw is a good result – well, it’s certainly not a bad result. “But the way City are playing, it’s very hard to say any team is going to catch them, because they’re setting records.” Chelsea return to Premier League action on Wednesday night when they host Swansea City at Stamford Bridge, as they look to get back to winning ways in the top flight. The Blues booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League last week with a 4-0 win over Qarabag in Azerbaijan.
