ANAMBRA State Governor, Willie Obiano, on Monday, 2nd October 2017 flagged off his re-election campaign in Awka, southeast Nigeria promising to continue with various developmental projects his administration has embarked on in the state should he be allowed to govern the state for another four years.
Obiano while speaking at the rally held at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka and attended by chieftains and supporters of the party from Enugu, Imo, and Ebony states revealed that he embarked on series of developmental projects to satisfy yearnings of Anambra people for a better society Governor Obiano, who noted that his administration has also initiated and completed several projects in health sector all designed to benefit the masses, maintained that he would further raise the ante of development in the state if given another term.
“We have tarred 45.7 kilometers road network and three flyovers in Awka metropolis and we intend to do more for the people of the state. What we have done will be a small project to what we will do in the second term. We have distributed thousands of computer tablets popularly known as Igbe Oche to students in all the three Senatorial district of the State. He declared that Anambra people have never been part of reactionary forces since independence and urged people of the state to vote for the APGA to allow the party execute its other life-changing programmes for the benefit of the people. Speaking earlier, leaders and chieftains of the party had urged people of the state to keep supporting Governor Obiano assuring them of better performance if he is reelected for another term.
In his speech, the state chairman of the party, Chief Nobert Obi said achievements of Governor Obiano would facilitate his victory in the November 18 poll urging party members to collectively work and convince members of opposition parties to support Obiano’s reelection bid in the interest of the state.
