Edo State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension on the former Speaker of the House Justin Okonoboh and the former majority leader, Folley Ogedengbe. Both of them were impeached by 19 lawmakers on August 14. The newly elected Speaker, Kabiru Adjoto passed the resolution on Monday following the report of a committee set up by the House which was chaired by the Deputy Speaker Victor Edoror. The House, however, resolved that former Deputy Speaker, Elizabeth Ativie and another lawmaker, Ezehi Igbas, remain suspended for refusal to cooperate with its new leadership. The speaker also announced the leadership and members of the new House standing committees in the sitting following the dissolution of the previous one when he assumed office a week ago.
