Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino says that the team have had no problems replacing the impact ofhis compatriot Philippe Coutinho. Coutinho left the Reds for Barcelona in January, but Firmino insiststhat the remaining players have stepped up in his absence. Speaking before Liverpool’s trip to FC Porto in the Champions League, Firmino said, “Of course,Coutinho is a great player but we’ve substituted him with no problems. Everybody has a greaterresponsibility but that’s our job, to deal with that responsibility.” Only Cristiano Ronaldo has netted more goals in the competition so far this season than theBrazilian, but Firmino dismissed any comparison with the Real Madrid star and insists he needs tfocus on working hard for his teammates. “I only focus on doing a good game and if you do a good game then the goals will appear, he added. By giving my maximum to the team, I can be up alongside those players,” he concluded.
